COVID-19 UPDATE

The Re-gathering and Safety and Security Committees of CKI stated from the very beginning that the health policies would be re-evaluated periodically as conditions changed. In accordance with our practice,  we are changing our COVID-19 policies to reflect the changing times and the latest CDC guidelines. We continue to take the needs of our members, guests, and staff, especially the most vulnerable amongst us with the utmost concern for "pekuach nefesh," saving a life. The building remains open for a full range of synagogue programming. 

MASKING
We continue to strongly recommend masking. Masks will be available at the door if you need one. We remind you to be kind!

VACCINATION
While we had required vaccination cards sent to the office, we are dropping that requirement. We continue to urge vaccination with boosters. 

SICK?
If you are feeling sick for any reason, please stay home. We would love to see you when you are feeling better, even if it is not COVID.

Congregation Kneseth Israel (CKI) is a welcoming synagogue serving the diverse Jewish Community of the Greater Fox Valley area. We are dedicated to lifelong learning, embracing diversity, building community, and meaningful observance.

For more than 120 years, CKI has served the Jewish community in the Fox Valley and the surrounding counties of Kane, McHenry, DuPage, DeKalb and Northwest Cook. Serving both rural and urban individuals and families by providing a Jewish presence, educational opportunities for both children and adults, regular worship services and the fulfillment of all life cycle events. 

We provide an ongoing Torah and Hebrew school, Rabbinic consultation, weekly worship services, Sisterhood, Men's Club, Youth Group and Seniors Club.

We welcome membership and participation by all Jews, including those in interfaith marriages. 

We invite you to join CKI and play an active role in helping us to continue the celebration of our Jewish heritage.
