USY, short for United Synagogue Youth, is a national youth group in association with the USCJ (United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism). Young Jewish adults from all across the country (and Canada) meet each other at regional and international conventions, as well as learn and have tons of fun on a chapter level. CKI-USY is open to any 9th through 12th grader who belongs to the congregation. Additionally, beginning in January of the each school year, 8th graders are allowed to participate in regional and chapter events. As a chapter, CKI-USY is a member of CHUSY Region USY. For more information on USY, click here. Kadima is similar to USY, however it is open to middle school age kids in grades 6 through 8. For more information on Kadima, click here. If you are interested in joining CKI USY or Kadima, contact our advisors for an application. |
